Mars the Divine
On Holy Mother Mars, the climate is inexplicably failing and marskind seems doomed. Young monk Brother Farr is warned by wild-eyed exile Shan the Heretic of the looming assassination of the Popess. Moments later, Shan is killed by temple police, and his secrets die with him.
The very existence of marskind is at stake. To stave off disaster, Farr begins an epic journey through the valleys and kingdoms of Mars, and into a transit world (the Temporale) outside time and space. He travels to the past and future, meeting H.G. Wells in Victorian Gaslamp London. Farr journeys eons past, to learn a secret about Mars' lost oceans.
