= I Will Help You =

Consulting Includes: Writing, Publishing, Self-Publishing, Editing (e-mail or call for info). Over 40 years' professional experience plus B.A. in English, B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems, and M.S. in Business Administration. Author of about 20 books.

  • Writing: I will help you write, or ghost, your project--anything from a letter or a technical manual to a book-sized manuscript. Are you expert in something? Let me help you plan, outline, shape, index, and write your book. I offer basic design and guidance for covers. Also strong in internet publishing including basic layout and graphics (decade+ experience).
  • Publishing: If you have a book project in work, or a finished book, I will explain the publishing process to you from acquisition through development, production, wholesale, retail, and beyond. I am a published author with at least two titles distributed through a major New York publisher. You need an understanding of the publishing industry in all its aspects to understand successful self-publishing. Clocktower Books (www.clocktowerbooks.com/) has been recognized as the sixth oldest web-based publishing house in the world. We were the second to publish weekly chapter serials of our books as early as 1996.
  • Self-Publishing: With over 11 years' experience as a self-publisher and small press publisher, I have over 33 titles currently in production. No submissions please. I will guide you through the process, help you to understand these ventures as a subset of the publishing industry as a whole, and help you establish realistic, achievable goals. You will cut out middlemen and avoid sharks and traps. No 'vanity press,' no 'book doctoring.'
  • Editing: I will proofread, analyze, evaluate, or otherwise help you with your project. I have been a book publisher for over a decade. I was the editor and publisher of a professional online magazine of speculative fiction (sf/f/h) for ten years and read, evaluated, and commented on thousands of manuscripts. At one time, Deep Outside SFFH (later Far Sector SFFH) was the oldest web-only professional magazine of speculative fiction in the world. (http://www.farsector.com/). We made history by becoming the first digital sf/f/h magazine publisher listed alongside the famous pulps (Asimov's, etc.) in Writer's Market (1999).
