In 1996, C&C Publishers released the world's first HTML novel (criteria coming in a moment). Inspired by my love of 1980s/90s noir suspense thrillers like *Sea of Love* and *Blink* to name just a few. The strong female lead character of Laurel 'Blue' Humboldt was especially inspired by Joan Jett's character in the 1987 movie *Light of Day*. More info soon.
